The majority of people who blunder or make mistakes will learn from these experiences, we realize and acknowledge our faults and learn to not make the same mistakes. People with a personality disorder have deeply engrained methods of thinking and behaving that bring about a multitude of relationship and social problems.
There are many different types of personality disorders, to make it easier to understand the behaviours and the way that they think, these different types of disorders will be placed in three separate groups.
Paranoid, Schizoid & Schizotypal Personality Disorders: People who have personality disorders form this group appear suapicious and distrustful of all other people. Their behavior may seem odd and people may have trouble getting to know them, since they can be subject to weird behavior. They may spend a lot of time alone.
Antisocial, Borderline, Histrionic & Narcissistic Personality Disorders: People in this group of disorders are excessively emotional and are unstable. They all have problems with being impulsive, self-centered, and unapologetic. Their lives rotate aroud drama, they live to seek reaction form others and enjoy attention. They may find it difficult to make friends or keep ongoing relationships.
Avoidance, Dependent, Obsessive-Compulsive & Passive-Aggressive Personality Disorders: People in this group of disorders are full of anxiety, are phobic, apprehensive, or obsessive.
It depends on the typ of personality disorder a person has, they can be overly shy, over demanding, or can be considered a perfectionist.
At times everybody is dependent or narcissistic, or demanding, it is hard to determine when the behaviour becomes pathological. At times, the diagnosis of someone with a personality disorder can be difficult since people rarely fit neatly into any one category.
Seeing a therapist may help some people. Getting the right medication is important to control anxiety and stress levels.
