SAN ANTONIO — Providing Texas deer breeders with superior quality whitetail deer, the Texas Deer Association (TDA) will host its Fourth Annual Superior Genetics Whitetail Deer Auction on August 24, 2007, at 2 p.m. during the annual TDA Convention & Trade Show at the Westin La Cantera Resort & Hotel in San Antonio.

The Superior Genetics Whitetail Deer Auction features some of the finest whitetail breeder deer in the industry and attracts hundreds of ranchers and wildlife managers striving to breed bigger, higher-quality whitetail deer.

“I am very excited about this year’s Superior Genetics Whitetail Deer Auction. We really have a lot of excellent quality whitetail deer consigned that represent some of the best whitetail deer genetics in the entire industry,” says Damon Thorpe, auction manager for the Texas Deer Association. “The auction lots include buck and doe fawns, yearling and mature does both open and bred and semen lots from some of the industry’s best bucks — like Waldvogel Whitetails’ Max, whose semen sold for $20,000 per straw in each of the last two TDA Superior Genetics Whitetail Deer Auctions (February 2007 and March 2007).”

For deer enthusiasts and bidders unable to attend the event, the Superior Genetics Whitetail Deer Auction will be broadcast live on the Internet which will enable buyers to participate and to purchase lots online. The webcast will be provided by www.TexasWhitetailDirectory.com, a new-for-2007 online service designed to bring together deer breeders throughout Texas and the country.

SALT LAKE CITY (October 13, 2005) — Relative Genetics today announced the release of its new and refined website. The site, combines significantly enhanced functionality with increased usability.

Relative Genetics, a genetic genealogy testing company, has been providing genetic testing services to the public since 2001 for the purpose of extending family history information. The field of genetic genealogy is expanding greatly and has become a proven tool to assist genealogists in furthering written genealogical records. Relative Genetics has made the technology available to anyone interested in genealogy as well as to the professional genealogist.

The Relative Genetics website is easily navigated through three main portals on the home page. Using these portals, visitors will find simple access to a detailed learning center product listings and explanations, and fully interactive search features. The learning center provides basic and in-depth information about DNA, genetic testing and the field of genetic genealogy. Once a person has experienced the learning center then tests may be ordered from the product listing pages. Products are described in detail and are easily purchased through the shopping cart feature found under each product listing. Simple and easy to use DNA cheek cell collection kits are shipped within 48 hours and clients may return the swab specimens through the regular mail or by an overnight carrier.

Testing is conducted in an on-site, high capacity genetic testing facility and the results, in the case of the Y chromosome paternal lineage test, are uploaded directly to the Relative Genetics database and the new website. Individuals may then choose to “login” and view their results on-line. Results are kept confidential and are only released to other website users at the discretion of the client or the project coordinator.

Y chromosome, paternal line test, results in the Relative Genetics database can now be searched using the Easy Y-Match? or Exact Y-Match? search engines. These two search functions will allow clients to identify other individuals with whom they may have a close genealogical connection. Website visitors may also search for possible relatives using a basic surname search.

The improved flexibility of the web site allows individuals to create new projects, participate as members in multiple projects, and accept project members who have been tested by organizations other than Relative Genetics. In addition, members of Group Projects will find that the color coding and sorting features of the group data table makes it easy to quickly identify relatives within their group.

Website visitors are also granted convenient, effective access to the Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Database, the world’s leading database of correlated genetic and genealogical information.

The flagship product of the new Relative Genetics site is the paternal lineage Y chromosome 43 marker test. Relative Genetics, however, also makes available its complete line of DNA testing services including maternal linage analysis using mitochondrial DNA, ancestral origins testing and extended family testing for establishing biological relationships, such as grandparentage, siblingship, and first cousinship.

“I would be able to lose weight if it wasn’t for my genetics”

The actual truth is that genetic factors CAN play a role in the speed of weight loss. Why is this? Because from birth everyone has a different hormonal profile and hormones are what determine every action in the body. This includes metabolism and fat burning.

Now while genetic factors can play a role in the speed of weight loss, they cannot stop you from losing weight and changing your metabolism. Hormonal profiles can be changed! If your hormonal profile can be changed, then the speed of which you lose weight can be changed!

The point is that sometimes in the beginning, getting the weight loss machine humming can be some work. The last thing you need is to feel that all your efforts are in vain because you are fighting genetics.

What I want you to know is that genetics will only keep you fat if you do nothing in an effort to change it. Fat is very timid. As soon as you make an effort to change your physical state, your body will start to respond in kind. You start taking care of yourself and fat gets scared. You keep taking care of yourself and fat doesn’t feel comfortable hanging around.

Everybody can and will lose fat if they just try. Genetics just dictates the speed that everything happens at in the beginning.

Are some people naturally big? Yes, they are called endomorphs. Are some people naturally skinny? Yes, they are called ectomorphs. It doesn’t matter one lick though. Why? Because there are many things in life that people do not start out naturally gifted at but go on to become the best of the best through simply trying and never giving up.

What you can conceive, you can achieve.

I want to share with you some thoughts about thoughts. This is based around some motivational stuff I read from James Allen.

A woman’s mind may be likened to a garden, which may be lovingly cultivated or allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated or neglected, it must, and will, create. If no useful seeds are put into it, then an abundance of useless weeds will grow therein, and will continue to produce their kind.

Just as a gardener cultivates her plot, keeping it free from weeds, while growing the flowers and fruits which she requires, so may a woman tend the garden of her mind, weeding out all the negative, useless, and untrue thoughts, and cultivating toward perfection the flowers and fruits of positive, useful, and true thoughts. By pursuing this process, a woman sooner or later discovers that she is the master-gardener of her soul, the director of her life and body. She also reveals, within herself, the laws of thought, and understands, with ever-increasing accuracy, how the thoughts and mind elements operate in the shaping of her character, circumstances, and body.

What I want you to know is that the first step to getting the body you want and losing extra weight comes from letting go of who you think you are. You are not someone fighting the uphill battle against genetics. You are someone that needs to clear some weeds and get to work on a wonderful new creation.
